PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
Welcome to term 3 where the hours of sunshine get longer each day. It’s been great to welcome our families back and see so many happy faces reunited with friends and ready to learn.
In staffing news Miss King is back from her European adventure, Mrs Watson and Mrs Bygraves are sunning themselves for an extra week and return next week, as does Mrs Parsell and Mrs Coombes. A big thank you to Mrs Angela Andriopoulos who had 3-4Y, Ms Brydie Pearce who has taken on Mrs Watson’s role, Mrs Majane Speer who has returned to Prep Y, Mrs Pip Stevens on 1-2R and Mrs Fiona Bender who has delivered a quality music program.
In exciting news, we farewell Mrs Ashley Kershaw-Quinn from Kinder Yellow on the 6th August as she commences Parental Leave. We’ll eagerly await news of the latest addition to her family. In her absence we’re very lucky to be welcoming Mrs Majane Speer back to our community. She brings a wealth of experience in the early years with her and will continue the outstanding, nurturing learning that Ashley has established.

Regards
Cathy Young

SRT Exec News
We are your 2025 Exec and we would like to say a huge thank you for a great first half of the year. It has been a wonderful pleasure working with the class reps for terms 1 and 2, and we are looking forward to meeting the new class reps next week.
We have really enjoyed working on the Exec team and planning events such as PJ and Movie Day, the Free Dress Day (for the Guide Dogs) and helping out at school events. We have a Disco planned for this term (26th Aug), as well as a Sports Colours Day on the 24th of September.
As your Exec we are also responsible for updating the Events Boards outside, raising the flags, and leading assemblies.
Please have a chat to us if you have any ideas on how we can improve our fantastic school.

Cool Crew News
This year the Cool Crew has an enthusiastic bunch of new recruits and old hands in the mix.
We have been busy trying to reclaim the garden beds from the prolific profusion of potatoes which have managed to morph into every bed! This is an ongoing project the Crew love. It’s like digging for treasure and there is much excitement when we uncover the mother lode.
The 5/6 cohort are assisting to develop and cook new taste sensations to offer in the canteen on Fridays. This gives our creating purpose and, of course, quality assurance taste testing is a crucial part of the process. Cool Crew offers students the opportunity to learn in a more hands on small group environment, however its not all spuds and muffins as the learning outcomes are varied and often for the students almost subliminal. There is a focus on procedural processes through following recipes, directions and instructions, numeracy when we are measuring, weighing, doubling or halving quantities: and financial literacy when assisting over the counter in the canteen.
We are looking forward to continuing creating, cultivating and consuming.
