PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
Welcome to Term 2, it’s great to be back and see all our learners ready to go. Our Grade 3-5s are busy with the Swimming and Water Safety Program. Aren’t we lucky, especially as an island state, to have access to this essential program?
This Term sees our whole school Global Concept move from Harmony to Sustainability. Our teachers are cleverly transitioning from one to the other, ensuring the connections between both concepts are understood. The content that this concept will be explored within will be different across the grades as our learners discover what interests them most.
As always, keeping our kids safe is uppermost in our minds, please take note that some of our toilets are signed as students only, this needs to be complied with, in line with our Safeguarding Policies.
Also please do not drop off or collect students from the staff carpark near the hall, this area has experienced some very dangerous driver behaviour lately. This area is carparking for staff between 7:45am and 4:30pm, Delivery Access and parking for those with a Disability Parking permit who are leaving the vehicle. All other vehicles need to utilise off street parking, under the bridge or the car park near the foreshore to keep our children safe.
Regards
Cathy Young
ANZAC DAY
Thank you to students and families who attended the Anzac Service in Lindisfarne on Anzac Day. A special thank you to our student executive team, who represented our school with pride and respect as they laid a wreath on our behalf.
